Your year, your challenge, your hospice

As we look to the future and 2021 we know things may not be ‘back to normal’ for a while. We have created a catalogue of challenges for you to choose from that can all be completed no matter what restrictions we face.

Each month, pick your challenge. We have some suggestions but it’s up to you, you can even make up your very own. Once you have selected your challenge, start telling your friends and family about it! Each challenge is free to register, to support the hospice we are asking that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £21 for each challenge you complete.

Your £21 could pay towards the cost of an hours support over the phone to a patient and their family during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Walking challenge

Walk any route and any distance, we are suggesting around 21 miles to be completed in a month.

Burpees challenge

Complete 1,000 burpees in a month and you can undoubtedly claim to be a burpees guru.

Go chocolate free

Calling all chocoholics! Could you ditch the chocolate for a whole month?

30 days of fitness challenge

Test yourself with a 30 day challenge, customise it to suit your own level of fitness – try some sit ups, crunches or squats.

Marathon month

Walk, jog or run a marathon 26.2 miles in one month – feel like you’re trailing the roads of the London Marathon in your own unique style.

Go sugar free

Are you ready to kick sugar and give up the sweet things for a month? Try a sugar-free diet without refined sugar.

Cycling challenge

Get on your bike - with some awesome peddle power complete 28 or 40 miles in a month and you could conquer your very own King of the Mountain title.

30 day yoga challenge

Commit to doing a class a day for a month, yoga can help with breathing and relaxation.

Staircase mountain steps

Climb 22,110 steps to complete the Three Peaks challenge from the comfort of your own home.

Plank challenge

The plank challenge is a 30 day program to strengthen the core and allows you to build your fitness levels steadily over a month.

Lose the booze

Take on the challenge of giving up alcohol for a month or longer if you choose!

Step challenge

Time to step up to the challenge by walking 10,000 steps a day for a month.

By signing up to these virtual events you will become part of the St Margaret’s Team and we’ll send you a monthly newsletter, with hints and tips on how to meet your challenge as well as raise sponsorship and you may even me featured as our Friday Fundraiser on social media!
