Support is offered in a range of ways for patients and their young families before and after bereavement.
The Family Support Service team have a background working with children and experience in supporting young families when a special person in their life has a life-limiting illness or has died.
At the family’s request the team link with schools, professionals and others involved in supporting young people. We provide opportunities for children and families to come together.
Samsara is our bereavement service particularly aimed at helping children and young people after the death of their parent. Working creatively to help children explore their emotions and develop ways of coping when things are confusing or difficult.
