Social Work

Life can feel overwhelming during difficult times, but you don’t have to face these challenges alone. Our Social Work team helps individuals and families address practical concerns, from financial and housing issues to planning for future care.
By identifying what matters most to you, we work to provide the emotional and practical assistance you need. Our team also collaborates with other professionals to extend the reach of our support services.

Bereavement Support Services

Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal journey, and there is no ‘right’ way to process it. At St Margaret’s, our Bereavement Support Services provide a safe and confidential space to help you navigate the complexities of loss. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, missing the support you once received, or seeking ways to move forward, we’re here to listen and support you. This service is available to family members, friends, carers, and professionals dealing with bereavement.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care at St Margaret’s is about honouring the human spirit in every individual. Whether you express spirituality through faith, a specific spiritual pathway, or personal beliefs, we are here to support you. Our Spiritual Care team works with individuals from all religious faiths and spiritual backgrounds, liaising with faith leaders when needed. Services can include Marriage, Baptism, Confirmation, or funeral arrangements, as well as reflective conversations and support to find meaning and comfort.

Our sanctuaries and gardens at our Taunton and Yeovil hospices provide peaceful spaces for patients and families to reflect and recharge.
