Our aim in the Physiotherapy team is to find out what matters to the patient and then help them to achieve things that are important to them and their family. For many this means staying as independent as possible and maintaining a sense of normality. Our physiotherapists support patients by:

  • Helping patients maintain their quality of life by improving symptoms and maximising function which is essential for optimal wellbeing.
  • Giving advice and teach self-management techniques to enable the patient to feel more in control.
  • Helping with a wide range of problems including pain, breathlessness, fatigue, anxiety and difficulties in managing activities of daily living.

We offer this support in a variety of settings – outpatient clinics, home visits, in our Sunflower Day centre and our In-patient Unit.
