In 2025 St Margaret’s Hospice will turn 45 years old. Our plan is to be here for another 45 years and beyond, but we know we must evolve and adapt so that we can continue to meet the changing needs of our community, as well as fund sustainable hospice care for generations to come.
As part of our 45th anniversary we will launch a new five-year strategic plan that will help guide us and hold us to account during that period. It will set out our goals and aspirations as a hospice and communicate how we will help more people to live fully and die with dignity.
We know our care has, and will touch, the lives of so many of you. Therefore, we want to include you in the development of the next chapter in our history.

iWantGreatCare
We participate in the “iWantGreatCare” reviews, a national patient evaluation programme for specialist palliative care and hospice services. It allows patients and their families to leave anonymous, meaningful feedback on their care.
“iWantGreatCare” measures patient satisfaction and covers topics such as cleanliness, respect and dignity, efficiency and addressing fears. The overall findings demonstrate that St Margaret's Hospice is maintaining consistently high levels of patient satisfaction, frequently scoring 10 out of 10.
