Piddle Wood Plod 10K this summer -Taunton’s best multi terrain 10k race.
The race, which starts at 11:00am, follows quiet country lanes and forest tracks and is sponsored by Perry’s Cider, of Dowlish Wake.
This year all money raised will be donated to St Margaret’s Hospice and Thurlbear School PTA, this event is kindly organised by The Hydro Harriers.
The run which will be suitable for all abilities. Piddle Wood is a beautiful spot nestled on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, situated in the heart of the woods is Wych Lodge lake which the runners will pass by before heading back to the school, once again the folk band Stampita will be entertaining runners in the woods.
The race is very kindly sponsored by Perry’s Cider and CT-Live who are providing every runner with a premium bottle of Somerset Cider and a unique Piddle Wood Plod 10k souvenir. The school children will once again be helping to design unique medals for every entrant, to participate in the race runners must be over 18.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st , 2nd , 3rd Male and Female, 1st Vet Male and Female, 1st Fancy Dress.
