Sign up to payroll giving

Making a regular contribution to the hospice directly from your salary is one of the easiest and most efficient ways of giving your support. You decide the amount and the frequency, and then your gift will be automatically deducted from your salary before tax.

So if you donate £5 a month as a standard tax payer it will only cost you £4, and as a higher tax payer it will cost you £3. It’s really flexible and you can change the amount you give and stop or freeze payments whenever you want.

It also means that as a hospice we know we have a regular source of income, which allows us to plan ahead.

Talk to your employer to see if they already run a scheme – if they do then it’s quick and easy to set up and will be dealt with by your payroll or HR team.

New to payroll giving?

If your company is new to payroll giving but you want to be able to support your employees in their fundraising, all you have to do is register with an HMRC approved payroll giving agency - Charities Trust, Charities Aid Foundation, and Charitable Giving are the three main ones. There is lots of information online about how to sign-up and any of the agencies will be very happy to guide you through the whole process.

Alternatively, you can check out our Employers Guide to Payroll Giving to learn more. Payroll giving is quick and easy to set up, and as a business it demonstrates your commitment to the causes that are close to the hearts of your employees.

Feel free to give us a call to talk through the options and how we can support you and your employees in their fundraising efforts.
