Make a Will Month

Here at St Margaret’s, we believe that death shouldn’t be a taboo subject. That includes being brave enough to talk to our loved ones about what we want to happen when we’re no longer here.

You may want to make a Will if you have children or grandchildren; if you own assets like a house or business; or when you get married or divorced. Your Will can also include your wishes for details that are smaller but no less important, like the music that you want played at your funeral or who will look after your pets.

So, it’s not just for people with lots of money or large families – everyone should have a Will.

We can help you write your Will completely for free. Here's how:

  • During Make a Will Month, you can make an appointment with one of our partner solicitors.
  • St Margaret's has also partnered with Kwil, a brilliant company that provides online free Will services. Best of all, you can use this service all year round!

Make a Will Month takes place in March each year. Please email legacy@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk to register your interest before March.

If you’d prefer to make or update your Will from the comfort of your own home, you can get in touch with Kwil. The service is free to use, completely secure and confidential. You can either use the online tool, or give Kwil’s team of legal specialists a call.

There is no obligation to include St Margaret’s Hospice in your Will, but if you do, this is a very special way to support us. Remembering us in your Will means that you are taking the time to care and help families across Somerset make every day count for years to come.

If you do choose to leave us a gift – thank you.
