Companies

Time to care for our business community - working in partnership with our local community is central to our fundraising strategy. This includes engaging with local businesses, employers, and companies to create meaningful relationships across Somerset so we can continue delivering care for our community.

The benefits of teaming up with your local hospice and becoming a corporate sponsor

By becoming a corporate partner, you demonstrate your commitment to helping us continue providing palliative and end-of-life care for families across Somerset. At the same time, your partnership with St Margaret’s Hospice Care makes a strong and positive statement about the values that underpin your organisation and its approach to corporate social responsibility. Teaming up with a trusted and much-loved local charity that reaches right into the heart of the community allows your business to:

The nature of our work means that we are likely to have helped some of your employees, directly or indirectly, and therefore, we find businesses that choose to support us gain a great level of engagement from their teams.

Charity of the Year & Employee Fundraising

If you are looking for a cause to support during the year, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we will create a bespoke calendar of engaging events and opportunities, tailored to help meet your business goals and corporate social responsibility needs. We will be on hand to advise how your staff can get involved in fundraising activities, as well as volunteering time and skills.

From taking part in our annual Wear it Yellow campaign, to entering teams into our Colour Run or offering staff team-building opportunities in our retail warehouse, or perhaps on the grounds of either of our hospices, there are plenty of practical ways you can support our hospice care. Our newest member of the team, the Busy Bee mascot, is always on hand to visit your premises or appear at events to rally staff at your fundraising activities!

Current sponsorship opportunities at St Margaret’s

We have several sponsorship opportunities, which offer both naming rights for companies, as well as branding and PR opportunities, plus employee engagement activities. From mass public participation events targeting families, to black-tie balls attended by other local companies, our portfolio of events offers a range of commercial opportunities to suit a range of budgets.

Every year, we organise a variety of fundraising events, from our family-friendly Colour Run, and county-wide Christmas Tree Collection, to our more challenging Ultra Hike or Skydive for our daredevil supporters.

To maximise the income potential of these fundraising events, where we ask participants to raise funds, we seek corporate sponsorship to help underwrite the costs of putting the event on. This helps us direct more of the fundraising income to our hospice care, and it gives local businesses a chance to promote their brand while showing their support of a locally loved cause – it’s a win-win opportunity.

Each sponsorship package is different, but in return for your support, you will receive branding on all promotional materials, online and offline, as well as mentions and links on our website and at the event itself. Some events also offer naming rights and product placement opportunities, as well as some free places on events for employees. You will also benefit from a social media campaign, any mentions on paid-for advertising and inclusion on all participant communications, meaning you will reach potentially hundreds if not thousands of local people from across our community.

To discuss any of the opportunities please call 01823 365615 or email us.

Sponsor our services or projects

We are also keen to talk to local businesses and organisations who may want to sponsor one of our services or projects. There are options such as sponsoring a nurse, or other projects include sponsoring the costs of equipment, spaces and potentially buildings. We would work with you to ensure that any sponsorship of our clinical service is done respectfully and in keeping with our values, while recognising the enormous benefit of having our running and capital costs underwritten.

In return, your business can build company and brand awareness and enhance your position as a socially responsible company in your local area. Your business name and logo will also be highly visible in relation to the service you choose to sponsor, among other benefits.

Match funding

If you are fundraising with friends and family or even colleagues, companies will show their support for their employees through match funding. Talk to your employer to understand whether it’s something they offer and start fundraising today. It means your efforts go that much further, usually up to a certain amount, effectively doubling your donation.
