Meet our current corporate partners

Thanks to the generous support of businesses across Somerset we are able to continue providing our specialist care to patients and their families. This support comes in all shapes and sizes, from displaying collections tins in premises to sponsorship of our major events, but what unites all of these companies, is a desire to make a difference and see an impact as a result of their support.

A huge thank you to all the local companies who have stepped up in the last twelve months in spite of the collective challenges that our community as a whole has faced – particularly those who donated invaluable goods such as PPE and medical scrubs this year to help keep the hospice operational during the pandemic. We really do appreciate it.

“This crisis has had an unprecedented impact across the UK and we know this is an incredibly challenging time for many in Somerset. By reaching those most in need of support, local charities, such as St Margaret’s Hospice Care have played a vital role in this crisis to date, and no doubt they will do going forward. As a proud member of our community, we are doing everything we can for our customers, clients and colleagues, and we hope that our partnership with St Margaret’s Hospice Care will allow many others to access the help they need as this crisis develops.”

Cycling through the beautiful Somerset countryside, supporting a great cause and riding with other like-minded cyclists will all add up to a truly memorable day."

Clarke Willmott were delighted to be able to support a cause as worthwhile as St Margaret’s, a charity that provides inspirational support to members of our local community.  We spent the morning getting stuck in assisting a team at St Margaret’s warehouse in sorting donations so that they could be delivered to stores to be sold.  The whole team enjoyed the morning and were blown away by the sheer volume of work that the staff and volunteers at the warehouse undertake to sort through the huge amount of donations, and the difference that our help in one morning was able to make for the charity, their patients and their patient’s families. Clarke Willmott are also kind sponsors of our St Margaret’s Great Somerset Cycle event.

The moment you step foot in the hospice sites and meet the team, it’s crystal clear patients’ needs are always put first at all times.

Members of the Cornish Mutual team recently spent a volunteering day at St Margaret’s, this was an invaluable opportunity to get stuck in to make a real difference. Our team cleared an area of garden around the hospice fencing and gave it a fresh lick of paint. Everyone at St Margaret’s was incredibly welcoming and grateful for our support.

We were also delighted to be sponsor the Ruby Paint Station at the fun Colour Run at Taunton Racecourse in May 2020, a light-hearted and community focussed way to raise awareness of St Margaret’s. Cornish Mutual has also joined other big-hearted businesses by becoming members of the ‘40 Business Club’ to support hospice care in Somerset.”

St Margaret’s is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a charity and we recognise and appreciate the fantastic work they’re doing to provide hospice care across Somerset. As part of our support we have decided to sponsor ‘The Firewalk 2020’; we will also have four members of staff taking part in the event and so we’ll literally be ‘walking over hot coals’ to help celebrate St Margaret’s special birthday!
