The Sunflower – Autumn 2025 edition

In this edition of The Sunflower, you will hear from Mike about the care his wife Tess received, and her final wish to spend a day at by the sea with her loved ones. We also share an exclusive feature following two of our specialist nurses based in Minehead Community Hospital for the day.

Every donation, every message of support, every item donated to our charity shops, every hour spent volunteering with us makes a real difference to those affected by a life-limiting illness in Somerset. Thank you so much for your support.

Mike & Tess's Story

Tess’s happiest moments were by the sea with her family. As her cancer progressed, hospice staff worked to fulfil her final wish – to see the sea and hear the waves once more.
