Somerset Freemasons give St Margaret’s Hospice £2,565 grant

The grant which is split between the Taunton and Yeovil hospices with £1,565 for Taunton and £1,000 for Yeovil have been given by the Masonic Charitable Foundation.

These are just two of 227 grants to hospices around the country from the Freemasons and this year the group will be donating £600,000 to hospices all over England and Wales. This includes £300,000 which will be distributed to each hospice that receives less than 60 per cent funding from the NHS and a further £300,000 will be provided to individual hospices across England and Wales via Hospice UK, the national charity for hospice care.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the Masonic Charitable Foundation for their generous grant. This money ensures we can continue to care and support patients and their families across Somerset.”

Graham Puddy from Somerset Freemasons added: “I’m very pleased we’ve been able to assist St Margaret’s Hospice. They do an outstanding job helping people with terminal or life limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families through very difficult times.”
