As we step into a new year, many of us find ourselves reflecting on the year gone by and setting new goals for 2024. So, kick off the New Year by doing something amazing and take on a running challenge to support your local hospice.
St Margaret’s Hospice has a variety of fantastic running events you can take part in throughout 2024 so you can set yourself a goal, lace up your trainers and get running! Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or someone who is taking their first strides into the running world by following Couch to 5k, St Margaret’s has a challenge that’s right for you.
The hospice has charity places available at this year’s Bath Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday, 17th March. Now in its 42nd year, you could join hundreds of runners on this traffic free course and run through the heart of Georgian Bath, taking in stunning views along the way.
This amazing event is suitable for both seasoned runners and novices looking for something to work towards.
Fast-forward to May and St Margaret’s will be back hosting its annual Colour Run!
Don your most vibrant fancy dress and join St Margaret’s on Saturday, 18th May for an unforgettable running experience filled with powder paint, foam, and glitter galore.
This fantastic 4km run is perfect for all the family to get involved in so don’t miss out on your chance to get involved. There’s an early bird price of £15 for adults and £10 for children until the end of January.
And, for the first time ever, St Margaret’s is offering people the chance to take part in one of the most prestigious running events in Europe, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon!
The marathon takes place on Sunday, 20th October in the best parts of the city and stretches along the Amstel before finishing in the historic Olympic stadium. Any runner fundraising for St Margaret’s can benefit from guaranteed entry to this event and the hospice would love to have some runners there to represent them.
