A Huge Thank You to Somerset’s Gardeners!
This year’s Glorious Gardens 2024 campaign was a resounding success, with 61 gardens opening across 22 locations and raising £32,012 in support Hospice Care. This total includes all sponsorship, and we’d like to extend a special thanks to our sponsor, Greenslade Taylor Hunt, for their generous backing.
We would like to express sincere gratitude to everyone who opened their gardens to the public and to the Somerset community who visited, made donations, and enjoyed tea, cake, and other refreshments in the beautiful green spaces. Your support and involvement are what make this event so meaningful each year.
We are absolutely thrilled with the success of Glorious Gardens 2024 and want to thank everyone who helped make it happen, from those who generously opened their gardens to every single visitor who contributed. The funds raised will make a real difference in supporting the care we provide across Somerset, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the community’s continued support.Kerry Baillie, Community Fundraising Manager at St Margaret’s Hospice Care
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re calling on the community to get involved again for next summer’s Glorious Gardens event, as we celebrate 45 years of providing free end-of-life care to the people of Somerset. Our aim is to feature 45 gardens for our 45th anniversary, and we need your help to reach that goal!
Whether your garden is large or small, your participation would be a fantastic addition. We recognise how important green space is for well-being and connection to nature. Our own hospice gardens offer peace and comfort to patients and their families, and your open space can bring similar joy to visitors across the county.
