The £45 Challenge

What is the £45 Challenge?

This August, we’re inviting local businesses big and small to take part in a fun, meaningful fundraising campaign to support the hospice and mark our 45th year of care. 

Here’s how it works: 

• We’ll give you the starter fund, £45.
• Use your network, creativity and teamwork
• Raise as much money as you can!
• Return the fund, plus the extra cash raised for hospice care!

At the end of the 45 days, we’ll host a special celebration to bring all the teams together, reveal the total raised, and shine a light on the incredible difference you’ve made. 

Please note: as a minimum, we ask that the original £45 is returned at the end of the challenge. You’ll be asked to sign an agreement to confirm this.  

Why take part?

The £45 Challenge is more than a fundraiser. It’s a chance to: 

• Showcase your team’s creativity and generosity 

• Build team spirit and boost engagement 

• Connect with your community in a meaningful way 

• Support compassionate, local hospice care 

• Compete with other businesses for fun awards and recognition. 

And yes, there will be prizes – in a variety of fun categories! 

We’ll be with you every step of the way — sharing stories, visiting your teams, and cheering you on. A live leaderboard will track the totals and help spark a little friendly competition.

Every pound you raise helps St Margaret’s Hospice continue to provide essential care and comfort to people facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset.
