Remember them your way
Join us at St John’s Church for a peaceful remembrance service as part of Light up a Life 2026.
At a time of year when memories of the people we love can feel especially close, this gathering is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember together.
There will be readings, hymns, and time for reflection. You can also light a candle, and, if you wish, make a dedication in memory of someone special to you.
Everyone is welcome
Light up a Life is for everyone. Your loved one did not need to have been cared for by St Margaret’s for you to attend. Whoever you are remembering, you will be welcomed.
Let us know you're coming
Booking is not required to attend this free service.
However, we would appreciate it if you let us know you will be attending to help us plan ahead and make sure everyone has enough space, seating and accessibility support.

Thursday 3 December, 6 – 7.30pm.
This is a gentle, secular gathering held in a peaceful, non-religious setting at Rumwell Cafe & Farm Shop. It includes quiet reflection, candle-lighting, readings, and shared moments of remembrance, but no religious service or worship elements. It’s suitable for anyone who prefers a calm, community-based space to remember loved ones. -
Light up a Life Service at St John’s Church (Yeovil)
Sunday 29 November, 2.30 – 4pm.
This is a traditional church-led service, with hymns, prayers, and readings. It offers spiritual and faith-based comfort for those who find meaning in Christian services or who wish to honour their loved one in this way. - Online Light up a Life Remembrance Video
Pre-recorded video available from 4pm Sunday 13 December.
Join us online to share readings, songs and take a moment of reflection to honour the memories of those we are celebrating as part of Light up a Life.
You are welcome to attend any of these events, depending on what brings you comfort.
No, attendance is free. We would appreciate it if you could let us know you are coming so we can make sure there is enough seating, space, and accessibility support for everyone.

If you do not want your loved one’s name to be included in the video, please let our Supporter Care team know when you are making a dedication.
