Write a Simple Will For Free

We have partnered with Octopus Legacy to help you write a simple Will for free.

Having an up-to-date Will is important as it ensures that your wishes are carried out when you are no longer here. The cost of your Will is covered by us up to £150 – so if you are over the age of 18, you can write or update a simple will for free or get a Will with trust at a discounted rate.

While many supporters choose to include a gift in their Will to St Margaret’s, there’s no obligation to do so when using this service. But if you choose to leave a gift, any amount – no matter how big or small – will help to safeguard our vital hospice care for future generations in Somerset.

How to write or update your Will:
You can write your Will:
– Online
– Over the phone/video call
– In-person (At home or in-branch)

Or call Octopus Legacy directly on 020 4525 3605 and quote St Margaret’s.

*Applies to simple Wills only. Discounts are applicable for Wills with trusts.

Why Teresa left a gift in her Will

Leaving a gift in your Will to St Margaret’s Hospice can make a lasting impact on the lives of people across Somerset who are facing a life-limiting illness and their families.

Every gift that is left to us in a Will is special and personal. Behind these generous gifts are supporters, many of whom have a special connection to St Margaret’s. Teresa is one of these wonderful people who has left a gift to the hospice in her Will.

Teresa started working for St Margaret’s back in 2007 in our Fundraising Team as a Corporate Fundraiser. She said this experience ‘opened her eyes’ to the ‘vital work’ St Margaret’s does and it was this that inspired her to leave a gift.

Making a Will and leaving a gift to the hospice is a great way to have some control over your life and your choices, and support future generations of your family, and families in your community so they can get the support they need at the end of their lives.”
