Why we need you

Want to contribute to a night of courage and community? We’re seeking volunteers for our new and exciting Firewalk event.  It’s an amazing opportunity to meet great people, assist others facing the flames and help raise vital funds for the hospice  all while having a fantastic time!

We could not run our events without the support of  volunteers. Volunteers play an important part in helping to create a safe, organized and celebratory  experience for every participant. Your time and enthusiasm really does make an enormous difference.  With your invaluable support, we can ensure that participants feel encouraged to complete the Firewalk with a sense of accomplishment, all while helping raise awareness and support for the compassionate care our hospice provides.

Would this role suit you?

If you’re someone looking to support your local hospice but can’t commit to regular hours, supporting one of our events is a great way to get involved. Whether you can give the whole day or just a few hours, your support will be appreciated.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Doesn’t mind volunteering outside
  • Enjoys meeting new people
  • Wants to support a great cause.

What you will be doing

We will find you a role to suit your interests. Potential tasks include:

  • Greeting participants with a warm and friendly welcome
  • Assisting at registration
  • Serving refreshments for participants and their supporters
  • Celebrating the achievements of the participants
  • Event marshalling to help maintain a safe environment so everyone has a great time.
