Armed Forces Friendly

We are an Armed Forces Covenant organisation, MoD ERS Bronze Accredited and we are also now Service Champion for the Armed Forces.

Armed Forces Covenant

We are proud of our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community in Somerset. In 2024, we signed the Armed Forces Covenant, a voluntary pledge that demonstrates our dedication to recognising and supporting service personnel—both regular and reservists—service leavers, veterans, and their families, ensuring they are treated fairly and without disadvantage.

By signing the Covenant, we joined 1,237 organisations in the Southwest, tailoring its commitment to the unique needs of the Armed Forces community. The Covenant aligns with our mission to provide clinical and therapeutic care at no cost to patients, while also ensuring equal opportunities within recruitment, staffing, and a flexible working environment. We are particularly mindful of the demands placed on service personnel and their families.

We put people at the heart of everything we do and signing the covenant reinforces people supporting people.

Over 10% of us have direct connections to the Armed Forces, even more when you consider friends, relatives and relatives through the generations.  We are honored to be part of such a beneficial programme.  We have veterans here and also staff, friends and associates who will be able to take advantage of it."
