Are you ready to be a hospice hero? 

Get ready to take on the ultimate challenge for St Margaret’s Hospice and join us on Sunday 18 August 2024 for a tandem skydive, dressed as your favourite superhero! 

Whether you’re an Incredible Hulk or more of a Wonder Woman, no previous experience is necessary and anyone aged 16 and over* can take part. Tick something off your bucket list in 2024 and do something amazing for St Margaret’s Hospice! 

We would like to bring 50 supporters together to each jump out of an aeroplane at 15,000ft – all while raising money for our own hospice heroes! Each £100 you raise could pay for a specialist community nurse visit for one of our local patients being cared for at home.Once you’ve taken on this amazing challenge there will be glass of champagne waiting for you. 

To take part, we ask that you fundraise a minimum of £395. You’ll be provided with an online sponsorship page (and/or paper if you prefer), and we can help with fundraising tools, tips and resources.

*Under 18s must be gain consent from a parent or guardian 

What you'll get

Entry fee

There is a £50 deposit to pay at the time of booking. You then pledge to raise a minimum of £345 sponsorship for St Margaret’s Hospice, before the event date. 

Please note there is an additional insurance payment of £24.23 required on the day of the event. This is paid to an external insurance provider to ensure you have the best possible protection. 

Your sponsorship

You will be sent a link to set up your personalised fundraising page once you’ve booked, and we can support you with ideas and materials. 

£250 of your fundraising pays for your skydive meaning a minimum of £145 comes to us. 100% of anything raised over £395 comes directly to St Margaret's Hospice Care.

The skydive can only take place in suitable weather conditions and there is a small chance this event will be postponed. We will give you as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative date for you to complete your jump.

The minimum age for skydiving in the UK is 16. If you are under the age of 18, parental consent will also be required.

There is no longer a maximum age for tandem skydiving in the UK!

Anyone whom an instructor suspects to have been drinking will not be able to jump and will lose their deposit. The ‘The Avaitor Coffee Bar and Restaurant’ is only 100m up the road and a celebratory glass of champagne will be waiting for you - AFTER your jump. 



Skydive Buzz provide this service at an extra cost, however you need to book it before. If you would like more information please give them a call on 01404 890222. 

Family and friends are more than welcome to watch your unforgettable experience but please let them know that as a spectator there can be some waiting time.

You will receive a text message the day before your Skydive at around 4pm from Skydive Buzz to confirm whether your jump is going ahead or not due to the weather conditions.

If your jump is cancelled we will be in touch with a date for the our next Skydive Day.

The weather is unpredictable in the UK. Skydive Buzz will contact you the day before with a text message confirming your skydive. If the weather is not suitable and they postpone your skydive, you will be able to reschedule for a new date convienient with you. 

Please be aware that there will be an extra charge of you cancel your skydive with less than a months notice unless due to weather.
