Rehome a charity shop bear a home this Christmas and support local hospice care in Somerset!

Charities across the UK are celebrating this year’s Trustee Week, which showcases the work of these special volunteers who help their organisations to thrive.

Twin sisters Lynne and Lesley have spent many years volunteering on the hospice's In-Patient Unit. Now, they're stepping back, and reflecting fondly over their time as part of the team.

Mary has been volunteering for the hospice's Langport shop for almost 20 years - and she's loved every minute!

Delphie has completed a 12-week placement in the hospice's Volunteer to Career programme, gaining experience, skills and insight into healthcare professions.

This May, the Yeovil hospice was filled with anticipation. Hayley Mills, one of our wonderful volunteers, was preparing to say goodbye to something very special: her beloved dreadlocks.

After retiring early, lifelong Yeovillian Avril found renewed purpose by volunteering at our Yeovil Hendford shop. Nearly 20 years on, her story is one of community, creativity, and the lasting joy of giving back.

"It is a great pleasure to me to give a little back to the hospice movement which gives families practical advice and comfort when they most need it.”

Alison’s strength and dedication to St Margaret’s is truly inspiring, and we are honoured to have her as part of our hospice community.
