Groups and Schools

Each year our community never fails to amaze us, as you come together in support of St Margaret’s Hospice Care, to raise many hundreds of thousands of pounds. Whether it’s as a group of friends hosting an event or a more formally organised group such as rotary, church, or a school, it's great to have you involved.

Community fundraising for St Margaret’s Hospice

We are overwhelmed by the proactive support that you provide.  If you would like to learn more about how you can get involved in community fundraising for the hospice in your local area, then please do get in touch. However you want to show your support, we’d love to hear from you!

To let us know what you are doing or if you have any questions, please get in touch with our Fundraising Team at[email protected]or call01823 345911.

Schools fundraising

Brownies Wear it Yellow with Busy the Bee

We recognise that end-of-life and hospice care can be a difficult subject to tackle for children, but equally, we know the importance of being able to talk about these subjects to help those who have been bereaved at a young age. Therefore, St Margaret’s would love to hear from any teachers, pupils or parents across Somerset who would like to learn more about the hospice and how we can support your school community with fundraising.

As well as providing fundraising ideas and support, we are also happy to attend school assemblies to talk to younger students in an appropriate way so they can understand what we do, and provide insightful talks to older students, as well as provide resources to help the whole school fundraise for their local hospice.

If you’d like to discuss how your school can support St Margaret’s, please email[email protected].

Are you part of a group or school that may be interested in hosting a talk to find out more about St Margaret’s?

Our talks are a great way to learn about the wonderful work that St Margaret’s provide in your local community.

Our informative presentations are delivered by our Community Partnerships Team, giving you an insight into the services we provide, the history of our hospice, how we are funded and much more! Each talk will be adapted appropriately to the audience we are providing for.

Talks will last no longer than 30 minutes, allowing time for any questions at the end. This can also be altered to suit your time preferences.

To request a talk, email[email protected]. Please provide as much detail as possible including your name, contact details, type of group and preferred date/time for your talk to take place.

Although we do not charge for talks, we would be very grateful if you would consider donating to support our work throughout Somerset. Any amount you are able to give will be hugely appreciated:
