Why Wear it Yellow?
This Hospice Care Week (5-11 October), and throughout the month, we’re asking you to help make Somerset shine.
St Margaret’s supports people facing life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and loved ones. Every year, thousands of people across Somerset rely on our care and support.
But providing this care comes at a cost, and we rely on the generosity of our local community to help make it possible.
Together, let’s make sure that hospice care isn’t left to chance.
Think yellow. Wear yellow. Share yellow.
Wear something yellow, make a donation, and spread the word about local hospice care.
How do I get involved?
It’s simple: Wear it Yellow!
Don a yellow shirt, dress, scrunchie, or fancy dress outfit, make a donation to St Margaret’s, and encourage your friends, family or colleagues to join in.
Then share your splash of yellow to help raise awareness of hospice care across Somerset.
Want to do even more? Turn your yellow day into a fundraiser. You could hold a lemony tea party, bake sale or raffle, organise some themed games, or come up with your own yellow-themed idea.

Every donation makes a difference.
Donate £5 and you could pay for art supplies used in a counselling session with a bereaved child.
Donate £25, and you could pay for an hour of nursing care for a patient.
Whatever you give, you’ll be helping St Margret’s continue to provide vital care and support for people across Somerset.
