Each garden offers something unique, from colourful mixed borders and mature trees to tranquil corners with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Some of the gardens feature rare and unusual plants, making this a delight for garden enthusiasts. At Pitts Cottage, visitors will be able to admire the Plant Heritage National Collection of Papaver orientale (Oriental poppies), which will hopefully be in bloom. You’ll also have the chance to meet the cottage’s two friendly resident pigs. There will be plants for sale on the day if you’re feeling inspired after visiting these five special gardens. A map will be provided when you buy your entrance ticket.
