– Music, food, games, and a lively post-event, pre-festival atmosphere.
You can take part in just the daytime events, with no expectation to stay on for the evening festival if that's not what you're looking for.
After Dark: ColourFest (18+)
– DJ and festival-stage atmosphere
– Hourly mass paint throws (your first two sachets of colour powder paint are included)
– Bar and street-food vendors
– Glitter tattoos, henna and festival extras
– A show-stopping final colour moment.
This part of the event is strictly 18+, making it a perfect night out with friends, whether you're running earlier in the day or not.
Do one, or the other, or both.
If you’re joining us for the Colour Run during the day, you’ll have the option to upgrade your ticket and stay on for an evening of music with ColourFest in the evening.
If you’re only interested in one or the other – that's absolutely fine too.
ColourFest is one event, with two distinct ways to take part.
Volunteer
ColourFest wouldn’t be possible without our incredible volunteers! Your time, energy, and enthusiasm make the event safe, welcoming, and fun for everyone from our youngest runners to evening festival-goers. And, volunteers will enjoy 50% off their ticket for the part of the event they are not on shift!
FAQs
ColourFest is a one-day fundraising event in support of St Margaret’s Hospice Care, taking place at Taunton Racecourse on Saturday 16 May 2026. It includes a family-friendly Colour Run and Bubble Toddle during the day and an adults-only ColourFest in the evening. You can take part in either event or enjoy both.
The daytime Colour Run and Bubble Toddle are family-friendly and open to all ages. These events take place earlier in the day and are designed for children, families and participants of all abilities.
However, the evening ColourFest is an adults only event.
You may bring your own water bottle, but no other food and drink. There will be street vendors and refreshments, and a bar for the evening event.

ColourFest takes place at Taunton Racecourse, Orchard Portman, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 7BL.
The Colour Run has a suggested sponsorship target of £50 to support St Margaret’s Hospice Care.
There is no sponsorship requirement for the evening ColourFest.
Every ticket sold and every participant helps St Margaret’s Hospice Care continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and families across Somerset. ColourFest brings people together to raise vital funds in a positive, community-focused way.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and trainers that you don’t mind getting colourful (and potentially muddy depending on the weather!). White clothing shows the colours best, but this is completely optional.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome during the family-friendly part of the event in the day.
For the evening ColourFest, only guide dogs are permitted.
