Start the day early and enjoy live local bands, food trucks and a lively family-friendly atmosphere. Join the Colour Run, cheer on your little sprinters in the Bubble Toddle, and stay to enjoy an afternoon filled with music, food and colourful fun. Pack a picnic, gather your team, and make unforgettable memories together.

 

Colour Run

Walk it, jog it or run it – this is your race at your pace! Take on just under 5km of colourful fun, with paint stations and a bubble zone along the route to make sure you’re covered head to toe in vibrant colour by the finish line.

Open to ages 5+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult), we’re asking participants to aim for £75 in sponsorship to help support hospice care whilst having the best day. Ready, set… go!

Bubble Toddle

Perfect for children from first steps up to age 5, this joyful 200m dash is all about fun, laughter and plenty of flying bubbles.

Your little sprinters will make their way through a magical stream of bubbles – with grown-ups on hand to help those under 2 along the way. It’s the cutest dash of the day and a memory-making moment for the whole family!

Event village

Make a day of it and stay for a vibrant afternoon of fun! Enjoy live music, delicious steet food, glitter tattoos and face painting, plus an inflatable obstacle course and a bubble party filled with lots of dancing and games for the little ones.

Don't miss the 'Big Throw,' a spectacular mass paint throw inspired by the Holi festival! You can buy extra paint sachets for this on our booking form or at the event.

FAQs

The Colour Run is a fundraising event in support of St Margaret’s Hospice Care, taking place at Taunton Racecourse on Saturday 16 May 2026. It includes a family-friendly Colour Run and Bubble Toddle, with an event village offering refreshments, amusements and music.

Bring your lunch, gather your team, and soak up the sunshine before the fun begins.

The Colour Run is a family-friendly, just under 5km, run with colour and bubble stations. The run is for anyone aged 5+ (under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult).

We also offer the Bubble Toddle, a mini 200m run for children from walking to the age of 5, although we recommend under 2s are helped by a grown up!

You may bring your food and non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be street vendors and refreshments available on the day, and a bar to purchase alcohol.

  • Registration opens: 12 noon, including music games and fun in the sun

  • Bubble Toddle: 2pm

  • Colour Run: 3pm

  • Family-Friendly Event village: Local artists, food trucks and other stalls will be available until 6pm.

The Colour Run has a suggested sponsorship target of £75 to support St Margaret’s Hospice.

Every ticket sold and every participant helps St Margaret’s Hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to patients and families across Somerset. The Colour Run brings people together to raise vital funds in a positive, community-focused way.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and trainers that you don’t mind getting colourful (and potentially muddy depending on the weather!).

White clothing shows the colours best, and you can get our branded white t-shirts when getting your tickets!

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to the event, but are unable to take part in the Colour Run itself.

  • This competition is open to UK residents aged 18 and over.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter.
  • To enter, participants must tag two different people in the comments of the competition post on Facebook or Instagram. Entries on Facebook and Instagram will be treated separately, and entrants may enter on both platforms for two entries.
  • Entries close at 23:55pm on Wednesday 29 May 2026 . A winner will be selected at random on Thursday 30 May 2026.
  • The winner will be chosen via a random draw from all eligible entries.
  • The winner will receive 4 tickets to the Colour Run event in May, along with a merchandise bundle. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
  • If the winner has already purchased tickets to the Colour Run, the equivalent ticket cost will be refunded, and they will still receive the merchandise bundle.
  • The merchandise bundle must be collected on the day of the Colour Run event.
  • The winner will be contacted via private message on the platform they entered from. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected.
  • By entering, participants agree to these terms and conditions.
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
  • Any personal data supplied during this promotion will only be used for the purposes of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties.
