Wellbeing and mental health in the workplace will be the focus of our next networking breakfast for Somerset businesspeople.
The Wake up to Business event at St Margaret's Hospice Care in Heron Drive, Taunton, on Thursday, February 27, will feature guest speaker Alison Baker, from Mind in Somerset. It comes after a new study by Deloitte and Mind found poor mental health is costing UK employers over £40bn a year.
Sadie Ellison, corporate fundraiser at St Margaret’s, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming regular and new guests to our next networking breakfast.
“Depression, stress and anxiety are the biggest causes of sickness absence in the UK, so I’m sure employers will be keen to hear about some of the positive steps we can all take to improve mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.”
There will also be an update from St Margaret’s and plenty of time for networking.
The event, starting at 7.30am, is proudly sponsored by Porter Dodson Solicitors.
Places cost £15 and can be booked at www.st-margarets-hospice.org.uk/business-breakfast-feb20.
