Get your kit on for the Virtual Challenge 2020! Your challenge, your choice, your hospice.
Set yourself a challenge for 2020! It could be running or walking, step counts or workouts – you choose.
Be proud to complete a huge achievement in 2020 and raise money for St Margaret’s Hospice Care as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary. It’s FREE to sign up and to celebrate 40 years of care at St Margaret's we’ll send you a limited edition Virtual Challenge 2020 medal if you complete your challenge and raise at least £40.
What is the Virtual Challenge?
The Virtual Challenge is a way for you to improve your health, challenge yourself and raise sponsorship for St Margaret’s throughout 2020.
Commit to one main challenge or set yourself a goal. You could do a 20 minute workout every other day or run 1km a day – your challenge, your choice.
Team up or go solo. Work towards a team achievement or set yourself a personal goal.
Choose your own timeframe. Whether it takes you hours, days, weeks or months decide what you want to do and achieve it at your own pace.
How to sign up
Taking part in the Virtual Challenge is as easy as 1,2,3! Think about the greatest physical challenge you would like to achieve, the choice is yours. Once you’ve decided on your challenge sign up and start collecting sponsorship. Then it’s time to get your kit on, you’ve got this!
Once you’ve decided on your Virtual Challenge, signing up is simple:
1. Visit our Just Giving Virtual Challenge fundraising page
2. Click the orange ‘Start Fundraising’ button
3. Set up your challenge on your Just Giving page and get fundraising!
We’ll be notified that your fundraising page has been set up and will send you a welcome email, then it’s over to you!
We would love for you to set your own fundraising target. To give you some extra motivation, once you’ve raised £40 you’ll receive your Virtual Challenge medal – but why stop there?
Your £40 could pay for a physiotherapy session, helping one of our patients to control their breathing so they too can feel energised. Feeling breathless can be frightening, something that most of us take for granted becoming a huge challenge. But with one session, either in the hospice or in their own homes, our physiotherapists can start to turn this around, teaching coping techniques and giving hints and tips to make life that little bit easier.
We’re here to help and support you with fundraising ideas. There are many creative ways you can raise sponsorship. Please visit Fundraising Resources where you can order materials to help with your fundraising.
Sharing your challenge and your Just Giving fundraising page on social media is a great way to get friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. We’d love to see what you’re getting up to, so please tag us when you post your training and challenge snaps.
So this year get your kit on, get active and you could help patients take back control of their breathing.
