Do you want to conquer your fears and take on a new challenge in 2022?
St Margaret’s Hospice Care is on the search for brave supporters to walk barefoot over a path of glowing hot coals at their hotly anticipated Firewalk on February 19 and raise funds for the hospice.
The event will take place at St Margaret’s Hospice Care in Little Tarrat Lane, Yeovil, from 6pm to 9pm and there will be a barbecue and refreshments after the walk. Places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment!
Take on a challenge and support St Margaret's Hospice
The registration fee is £25, and participants pledge to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship to help St Margaret’s care for and support families across Somerset facing a life-limiting illness. Every £100 raised could pay for a specialist community nurse visit for one of our local patients being cared for at home in the Yeovil and South Somerset area.
Ellie Weston, Marketing and Events Officer at St Margaret’s Hospice, said: “Following the success of our Firewalk in 2020 we are really excited to offer this wonderful event to our supporters again. Our participants will be in safe hands as they will receive training from Scott Bell, the two-time Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance walked on fire, before they brave the coals. Spectators are welcome to come and support and they can enjoy a barbeque and music.”
