On Saturday, 28 May scores of people visited our Yeovil Hospice and enjoyed a day of family fun at our Summer Fete.
Stallholders from across Somerset selling homemade cakes and sweets, plants, homemade crafts including jewellery, bunting and wooden bowls and handmade moisturisers and bath bombs delighted visitors with their creations. There was also a tombola, a raffle, a barbecue which was run by Yeovil Roundtable, and a children’s play area complete with face-painting and activities on the day.

The weather didn’t disappoint as local groups including Yeovil U3A, the Castle Cary Cygnets and the Grey Dog Jazz Band performed dance routines and music for visitors as they enjoyed food and drinks in the stunning sunshine. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers from the 501st UK Garrison Stormtroopers also made an appearance on the day as well as Anna from Disney's Frozen.
Kerry Baillie, Community Partnerships Manager, said: “It was so lovely to see the community supporting St Margaret’s. It was an amazing day and we’re so grateful to everyone who attended and kindly donated to us so we can continue supporting patients and their families across South Somerset.
“Thank you to Amicus Law and Garador our sponsors as well as our fantastic volunteers who helped to make the day a success. We can’t wait to see everyone again at our upcoming events.”
