Our reception is manned by volunteers morning, afternoon and evenings, 7 days a week. Receptionists are often the first person to greet patients and visitors, providing a valuable role in welcoming visitors and putting at ease those people for whom it may be their first experience of the hospice.
Our volunteer receptionists provide a professional service receiving and transferring calls using a modern switchboard, accepting donations on behalf of the hospice and thanking people for their efforts. Additional tasks also include making drinks for relatives, patients and their families who are awaiting clinical appointments.
