St. Margaret’s Hospice work in partnership with Burden and Burden Marketing Limited to raise funds by selling membership to our Weekly Prize Draw. The funds raised from this ensure that we can continue to provide support to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.

The Role

  • Canvassing door-to-door in the community and at venues across Somerset with the aim of signing people up by direct debit to take part in the Weekly Prize Draw.
  • Acting in a professional and courteous manner whilst being a representative for St. Margaret’s Hospice in the community.
  • Using mobile data capture tools to capture information accurately and efficiently.
  • Always following best practice and complying with fundraising and gambling regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Selling in a manner that isn’t pushy so as not to damage the reputation of St. Margaret’s Hospice.

What we are looking for candidates with:

  • A positive, pro-active attitude.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Confidence, life experience and communication skills to initiate conversations.
  • Resilience to work hard in all weathers and comfortable with door to door canvassing.
  • A full UK driving licence as commutes to your daily operating locations will be essential.
