How to leave a gift in your will

If you do choose to leave a gift in your will, you will touch the lives of families across Somerset who will need to access hospice care and support, ensuring there is somewhere for them to turn to when they need it. Whether from a dedicated sum, a percentage amount of your estate, or assets such as shares or jewellery, no matter how big or small, each gift will have a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their loved ones.

To leave a gift to St Margaret's Hospice, simply provide our name and registered charity number (as listed below) to your solicitor when making or updating your will:

St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice
Heron Dive, Bishops Hull
Taunton
TA1 5HA

Registered Charity Number: 279473

It is completely up to you if you would like to inform St Margaret’s that you intend to leave a gift to us in your will. If you do let us know we will keep you updated regarding our work and will send you an exclusive Legacy Sunflower Pin Badge which is only given to those who support us in this way.

At St Margaret’s Hospice Care we have no legal expertise and cannot give legal advice, so we always advise that that you consult a solicitor to ensure your will is valid and covers all legal formalities.

If you’d like to discuss this more about leaving a gift in your will to St Margaret’s, please contact our legacy officer, Charlotte Hayward, by calling 01823 365603 or by emailing charlotte.hayward@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk.
