Saddle up for the return of our popular hospice-to-hospice sponsored cycle ride.
The 2020 edition offers riders a choice of hospice to hospice and epic routes between our Yeovil and Taunton hospice sites, rated easy, hard or tough and ranging in distance from 40 to 80 miles.
This event is once again proudly sponsored by Clarke Willmott and the Bicycle Chain.

Location & routes
You will start and finish at either of our Yeovil or Taunton hospice sites depending on the route you choose. It's up to you!
There are four routes you can choose from ranging from easy, hard or tough:
- Easy - Hospice to Hospice, Yeovil to Taunton - 40 miles
- Hard - Hospice to Hospice, Taunton to Yeovil - 40 miles
- Tough - EPIC route, Yeovil to Yeovil - 80 miles
- Tough - EPIC route, Taunton to Taunton - 80 miles

£25 per person
To register just submit the form below paying your £25 entry fee. Then, you're ready to get training and start asking for sponsorship.
You must be 12 or over to enter The Great Somerset Cycle. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
On the day
Registration will open between 8am and 9am at your chosen start hospice. Your route will be fully signed and marshalled, with check points/feed stations on route and a pit stop at each hospice. Our sponsors Bicycle Chain with be available to provide mechanical support, alongside medical and pick up support (just incase!) on the day.
Once you've crossed the finish like don’t forget to pick up your limited edition Great Somerset Cycle medal!
Raising funds for St Margaret's Hospice Care will ensure your neighbour, your friend, and your family can be cared for when they need it most.
£100 could help towards the cost of a Specialist Community Nurse visit for one of our local patients being cared for at home
£150 could help towards the cost of three family sessions with a specialist counsellor
£500 could help towards the cost of 24 hours of In-patient care for a patient

No matter how much you raise, your money will be going to support people in your local community, across Somerset.
