Community Contact Volunteer Role Purpose: To raise awareness of St. Margaret’s Hospice by assisting with the promotion of events and information in your local area. Role Description: To take receipt of posters, newsletters and promotional materials to distribute within a defined area in community locations such as: Local Shops Community Noticeboards Libraries GP Surgeries Community Groups To identify and pass on new opportunities to promote the work of St. Margaret’s Hospice, and any local events at which we could have a presence. Personal Specification: No special qualifications or experience needed. The role may be ideal for you if: You enjoy meeting people and are happy collecting tins and boxes You are keen to raise vital funds for people living with a life-limiting illness You want to help with fundraising in your local area Volunteers who are fit and able to lift and carry are welcomed, but this is not essential. Role Requirement: A 6 month initial commitment would be preferred - role sharing is also possible within an area.
