A six-day course designed to equip healthcare professionals and all engaged in spiritual care at the end of life with additional skills, knowledge and understanding.


The course aims to help you:

  • understand the breadth and meaning of holistic spiritual care and assess its importance at end of life
  • examine the role of all healthcare professionals in providing spiritual care
  • assess the theory and evidence base for effective spiritual care at end of life
  • evaluate the role of personal belief systems
  • identify and work within legal and ethical boundaries for safe person-centred spiritual care
  • identify and understand the contribution and needs of relatives and carers
  • explore and reflect on your own spirituality
