St. Margaret's Hospice have, and always will, keep our patients at the centre of all that we do. We continually strive to reach everyone in Somerset that needs our care.
Kelly's story below highlights how determined and dedicated we are to making each day count for our patients and their families.
Kelly's father was admitted to St. Margaret's Hospice on Christmas Eve 2015. He was in the care of St. Margaret's for 4 weeks before he sadly passed away.
After their experience with a local hospital, Kelly and her family found St. Margaret's very different. Kelly's father stayed in a room at the end of the ward and Kelly and her brother were able to stay for a short time in the adjoining room. This also enabled Kelly's two children, who were very close to their grandfather, to visit and still be able to do their homework.
"All the staff were very helpful and the building itself has a lovely feel to it. Lots of family visited and were all treated very well - nothing was too much trouble."
"I really can't thank the hospice enough for the kind and caring way they looked after my dad and all of us as a family. It really is an amazing place. We didn't have the best experience at the hospital, but when we walked through the hospice doors on Christmas Eve, we were taken aback by the reception that we received."
