Description |
You will be expected to support the Manager on duty in the efficient running of the shop. You will help the Manager ensure that targets are met and maximum income is generated from sales of donated goods. You will assist in maintaining good relations with the general public and help to promote the hospice in the area. Typically this role involves:
- Acknowledging customers on entering and leaving the shop
- Operating the cash register correctly, informing the duty manager of any errors and ensuring each customer has their receipt
- Assisting customers with any enquiries about services or fundraising events
- Wrapping any sold goods as required
- Accepting donations of goods and thanking the donors
- Accepting donations of cash/cheques, ensuring that the correct procedures are followed
- Assisting with the Gift Aid process
- Adhering to trading standards regulations

Training |
A full induction will be provided which will cover:
- Health and Safety
- Confidentiality
- Completion of appropriate worksheets
