Thank you to everyone who took part in Hospice Hounds, shared your photos of your furry best friends and voted! All those who entered will all receive an email with a special certificate for taking part.

Your donation

All money raised from this event will go towards the care of our patients and their families, who are facing life-limiting illnesses. If you can, a donation of any amount would be hugely appreciated.

 

£10 could help towards the cost of books to support a recently bereaved child.

 

 

 

£20 could pay for a pair of transitional soft toys that can be used to prepare a child for the loss of someone they love.

 

FAQs

Hospice Hounds is a virtual contest giving you the chance to show off your furry best friends. All you have to do is complete the entry form and send us a photograph of your best friend looking their finest, we’ll upload it onto our Facebook page and leave the voting down to our trusty supporters to crown the canine champion.

All you need to do is complete the entry form below with your details and, if you can, a donation Once complete you then pick your best photo and email it to fundraising@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk, making sure you let us know your name, your dog’s name and the category you wish to enter so we can link your photo with your entry form. The closing date for all entries is 9am on Monday 10 August 2020.

Voting will then be live from the afternoon of Monday 10 August 2020. This is when you need to rally family, friends and colleagues to vote for their favourite photo. Voting will close at 9am on Monday 17 August, with the winners being announced that afternoon.

We haven’t set an entry fee but, if you can, a donation of any amount would be hugely appreciated.

If you wish to enter without making a donation please email your entry photo, your name, your dog's name and the applicable category to fundraising@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk.

There are three categories that you can enter your dog into (please note one dog per entry):

  • Puppy category – Pawsome Pups (Aged 0 – 2)
  • Junior category – Prime Pooches (Aged 2 -7)
  • Adult category – Oldie Goldies (Aged 7+)

One winner will be chosen from each category above. The photograph in each Facebook album with the most ‘likes’ or ‘loves’ at the end of the contest will be crowned the winner of that category. Please note that comments and shares will not be taken into consideration. The original photographs via our Facebook page will be the ultimate decider of the winners.

All photographs will be uploaded onto our Facebook page on Monday 10th August 2020, each category will have it’s own album. Please make sure you follow us on Facebook and ‘like’ or ‘love’ your photograph of your perfect pooch. Tell all your friends and family to visit our page and vote too.

We are leaving the judging up to you and our followers on Facebook by liking or loving the photo. Please note voting will close at 9am on Monday 17 August 2020 and comments or shares will not be counted as a vote.

All participants of the contest will receive their very own certificate via email. The winners of the above categories will receive a rosette as well as a certificate, to mark their victory. The winners will be announced and contacted on Monday 17th August 2020, and shared on Facebook that afternoon.
